Manitoba Housing provides opportunities for subsidized rental housing in both properties that Manitoba Housing owns and operates and in properties that are owned and operated by private and non-profit housing partners.

The Manitoba Rent Relief Fund provides interest-free loans to eligible tenants who are behind in their rent, utilities, or need to move into more suitable housing. The Rent Relief Fund is a tool that will help stabilize housing across Manitoba.

Rent Guarantee Program - The Rent Guarantee Program is intended for at-risk women, previously incarcerated individuals, youth-coming-out-of-care and newcomers who have the proven capacity to make full rent payments but are facing the barrier of a lack of rental history. Jubilee Fund’s role is to act as a guarantor for one year.

The Residential Tenancies Branch can help you by providing information on matters such as rent, repairs and deposits and mediating disputes between tenants and landlords. We provide information on your rights and responsibilities during a tenancy, investigate problems, and hold hearings to make decisions and issue orders on certain issues.
