500 Stephen's transportation assistance program returns December 1, for the winter of 2025/2026.
Going for a walk on a summer’s day can be a pleasant and relaxing experience. Walking through a freezing wind over snow and ice covered sidewalks while carrying your infant to a medical appointment is anything but pleasant.
Our Warm Up & Ride program is a community supported way for people with other transportation options to receive taxi rides to their essential appointments and services. These taxi vouchers can be used for rides anywhere within Morden including to Boundary Trails Health Centre.
Area agencies have vouchers available for their clients who need transportation assistance. These agencies include Many Hands, Regional Connections, Healthy Baby, Morden Activity Centre, and 500 Stephen Community Centre.
Funding for this program comes entirely from the community. Last year the Morden Area Foundation provided funding for the pilot program, but that money is not available this year. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to donate towards this program so that more member of our community can safely get to their necessary services.
You can send your financial support for this program via e-transfer to payments@500Stephen.ca or mail or drop off a cheque or cash at 500 Stephen.
