Morden Activity Centre
Morden Activity Centre is a recreational facility for ALL older adults. We feature a wide variety of programs, activities, games, guest speakers and more! From programs at the Centre to tournaments and events.
We at MAC are constantly working to keep older adults active and stay in their home as long as possible. Our services that aim to accomplish this are:
- Fitness and recreational activities
- Meal Program at 3 locations
- Medical Equipment Loan Service
- Service Providers for light housekeeping, transportation, foot care, snow removal, etc.
- Bus Trips
- Information Sessions
We are looking for someone who is passionate about serving the senior community.
Type of work
Monthly board meetings, reviewing documents and making decisions to better the senior community and the Centre.
Generally, a 2 year term which can be extended.
Daytime Hours
Certifications needed:
Membership at the Centre - $45/year

Yes
Child Abuse registry check required:
No
Age restrictions:
Must be at least 18 years old, preferably 55+.
Required/Beneficial Languages:
English
Required/Beneficial Skills:
Strategic planning & vision, governance & risk management, financial literacy, passion for advocating for seniors
Required/Beneficial Experience:
Previous experience on a volunteer board of directors is beneficial
Position able to support accommodations:
Yes, the building is accessible.
